The work
The old partitions, fixtures and finishes in the strip-search area were demolished and removed.
The area was rebuilt with stainless-steel partition panels and wall panels, security-grade fixed benches and stools, and new tile, with a level, trip-free threshold between the rooms.
How the job ran
Before work started, the facility cleared every worker. Inside the secure area, staff escorted the crews and each tool was counted in and out, while the detention centre stayed open.
